Project Surveyor

Location: Southwest
Rate: £300 Per day
Working Pattern: Hybrid, minimum 1 day per week in the office, plus site visits
Contract: 12 Months

Spencer Clarke Group are supporting an organisation in the public sector who are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to manage and deliver a window replacement programme across the city.

You will take projects end to end, carrying out surveys, specifying works, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance across building safety, housing standards, and health and safety.

Responsibilities include

  • Delivering a window replacement programme across occupied housing stock
  • Undertaking inspections, surveys, and condition assessments, diagnosing defects and specifying remedial works
  • Producing specifications, schedules of works, feasibility studies, site appraisals, and technical reports
  • Managing projects end to end, including programming, site supervision, reporting, quality assurance, and governance records
  • Administering contracts under JCT forms, including valuations, variations, and certifying payments
  • Supporting CDM duties where required, maintaining H&S documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards, including building safety and housing regulation requirements
  • Managing customer communication, consultation exercises, and customer choice processes
  • Monitoring contractor performance, customer satisfaction, spend, variations, and final accounts
  • Updating asset databases and maintaining accurate project documentation and job files
  • Managing asbestos-related issues via compliant processes and specialist contractors

About You

  • Proven experience delivering planned maintenance or capital works programmes in housing or similar environments
  • Strong surveying background, able to inspect, diagnose defects, and write specifications
  • Confident JCT contract administration experience, including valuations and variations
  • Working knowledge of CDM and strong health and safety focus
  • Comfortable working with residents and stakeholders, with a customer-first approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use
