Property Assets Manager
Location: Wiltshire
Rate: £325 Per day
Contract: 6 months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a public sector organisation in the South West to appoint a Property Assets Manager to lead and deliver a comprehensive property management and asset management service across a varied operational and commercial portfolio.
This role has a strong focus on schools and education estates, including condition survey programming, capital investment planning, and complex stakeholder negotiation around school accommodation, academy conversions, and property transfers.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the management of operational, commercial and industrial land and property, with particular focus on schools and operational assets
- Directing and managing an annual rolling programme of condition surveys across the estate
- Supporting the planning and delivery of education estates capital works, including governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Managing property transfers and related agreements with third parties, including schools, trusts and partners
- Negotiating lease renewals, lettings and disposals to support income generation and portfolio optimisation
- Producing clear reports and recommendations for senior officers and members
About you:
- Strong local authority or large complex organisation background in property and asset management
- Solid experience across leases, disposals, negotiations, and stakeholder-heavy property transactions
- Proven ability to lead programmes of work, prioritise competing demands, and deliver to deadlines
- Comfortable producing concise, decision-ready reports for senior stakeholders
- Education estates experience (schools, academy conversions, place planning, capital issues) is highly beneficial
