School Administrator - Wirral

£17.50-£18.50 per hour
Monday to Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm

We are recruiting an organised, professional, and reliable School Administrator to support a school in the Wirral.
This is a long-term cover role, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and providing an efficient, welcoming service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing general administrative support to the school office
• Acting as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils, and staff
• Answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and dealing with enquiries
• Managing school records, files, and confidential information
• Supporting with pupil attendance and maintaining accurate records
• Updating school databases and administrative systems
• Assisting with school communications, letters, and correspondence
• Supporting staff with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Managing appointments, meetings, and diary arrangements
• Maintaining an organised, professional, and welcoming reception area
• Completing other administrative duties as required

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a School Administrator, School Receptionist, Office Administrator, or in a similar educational setting is desirable
• Experience using school administration systems is advantageous
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Confident using Microsoft Office, email, and computer-based systems
• Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Accurate, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable
• A positive and approachable manner
• An Enhanced DBS check may be required, depending on the placement
