School Cleaner - Part-Time

Salary: £12.87 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2:00pm-6:00pm
Contract: Permanent, part-time, term time only
Term: Term time plus 2 weeks
Location: Near Quidenham, Norwich

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable School Cleaner to join the housekeeping team within a specialist educational setting.

The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

The setting supports children and young people aged 5-16, including pupils with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties, autism and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Dusting and polishing throughout the school
• Maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen areas
• Vacuuming and washing floors
• Tidying classrooms and other areas
• Keeping bathrooms clean, tidy and appropriately stocked
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting when further supplies are required
• Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs
• Supporting the wider housekeeping team as required
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

Duties may vary, and you will be expected to contribute to the overall smooth running of the setting when required.

• Understands health and safety requirements
• Has knowledge of COSHH and the safe use of cleaning chemicals
• Has an understanding of electrical safety

A First Aid Certificate would be desirable but is not essential.

Due to the rural location, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
