Hours: 20 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks)

Aurora Peartree is an exciting new school opening in January 2027, and we're looking for a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner to join our team and help us create an exceptional learning environment from day one.
Aurora Peartree will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious school for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With capacity for 96 pupils, our vision is to provide a safe, welcoming and enriching environment where every young person is supported to achieve their potential.
As a Cleaner, you'll play an important part in bringing this vision to life. You'll help ensure our school is clean, safe and well-maintained, creating a positive environment where pupils can learn, develop and thrive.

About the Role

Working as part of our Estates team, you'll take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.
Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, corridors and communal areas to a high standard.
• 
  Vacuuming, mopping and maintaining hard and soft floor surfaces.
• 
  Emptying bins and replenishing hygiene and janitorial supplies.
• 
  Dusting, wiping and cleaning furniture, fixtures, fittings and surfaces.
• 
  Following daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and checklists.
• 
  Using cleaning products and equipment safely, in line with COSHH and health and safety requirements.
• 
  Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, defects or potential hazards to the School Business Manager.
