School Cook - Temporary Long-Term Cover

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable School Cook to join a school in Preston on a temporary, long-term cover basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident cook who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for pupils and staff.

The Role

• Preparing and cooking daily meals for pupils and staff
• Ensuring food is prepared to a high standard and meets dietary requirements
• Following food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Managing food stock and minimising waste
• Working as part of the wider school team

About You

• Previous experience working as a cook, ideally within a school, nursery, care setting or similar environment
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen requirements
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Friendly and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
