We are looking for a SEN Learning & Inclusion Practitioner to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to play a meaningful role in helping young people build confidence, develop independence and achieve their potential.

The Role
As a SEN Learning & Inclusion Practitioner, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, working alongside teachers and the wider pastoral and SEN team.

You will help create an environment where every pupil feels valued, understood and able to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support.
  • Supporting pupils to access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Adapting activities and learning resources to meet individual needs.
  • Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Supporting the implementation of individual learning and support plans.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and celebrating individual achievements.
  • Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Previous experience within SEN education, teaching support, care, youth work, mentoring or a similar environment is desirable. Transferable experience will also be considered for candidates who demonstrate the right values and attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
