SEN Teaching Assistants Required - Chorley

Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across welcoming and supportive schools in the Chorley area. These are excellent temp-to-perm opportunities for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Whether you have experience supporting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support that enables pupils to reach their full potential. You may be supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom, helping to create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• A caring, patient and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
