SEND Officer - Assessment & Reviews

I'm looking for a SEND Officer to join a Local Authority in the Midlands on an interim basis.

• £286 per day
• Midlands LA
• Remote working
• Contract until 31/12/2026

If you are an experienced SEND Caseworker with strong experience in coordinating SEND assessments and reviews this is a great opportunity to make a real difference. You will work closely with children, young people, families, schools and professionals to ensure their needs are identified and the right support is put in place

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the timely completion of SEND assessments and Annual Reviews, ensuring statutory timescales are met.
• Promote and embed person-centred planning across assessment and review processes
• Work collaboratively with schools, settings, health, social care and other professionals to identify appropriate support and provision
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
• Work directly with children, young people and families to ensure their views, wishes and aspirations are reflected in the assessment and planning process
• Support the implementation of new EHCP formats and processes

(Minimum 2 years Local Authority SEND experience is essential.)
