Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistants to work across a number of friendly and supportive primary schools in the Walton-le-Dale area. These are fantastic temp-to-perm opportunities for enthusiastic individuals looking to start or develop a rewarding career in education.

The Role

As an Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside class teachers to support pupils throughout the school day, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. You may provide one-to-one support, work with small groups, or assist with whole-class activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, participation and enjoyment of learning.
• Help maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Prepare learning resources and assist with classroom organisation.
• Support pupils with a range of learning abilities and needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for working with primary-aged children.
• Previous experience in childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring, volunteering or similar roles is desirable but not essential.
• A positive, caring and reliable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, adaptability and a willingness to learn.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
