Leasha Cookson

Hi, I'm Leasha!

I began my academic journey studying Applied Law, an Extended Diploma in Criminology, and BTEC Health and Social Care at college between 2020 and 2022. After two years at college, I pursued a Business Administration apprenticeship at a healthcare agency, where I gained invaluable experience and acquired a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

During my time at the healthcare agency, I was responsible for recruiting within the healthcare sector, for roles such as Counsellors, Occupational Health Specialists, Offshore medics, EAP Counsellors and directorship positions. I also supported local clients with unqualified roles, such as Support Workers. 

The above gave me priceless experience in healthcare and social care recruitment and ultimately led me to Spencer Clarke Group.

At Spencer Clarke Group, I'm responsible for recruiting within healthcare across the public sector and private healthcare organisations, nationwide. I also recruit within social care, working alongside many amazing professionals such as Family Support Workers. 

I love working within healthcare and social care recruitment as it gives me the opportunity to speak to new people every day, building meaningful relationships with both candidates and clients.

I hope to continue learning and growing at Spencer Clarke Group and I look forward to progressing in my career. In 2025 we were crowned Best Public / Third Sector Recruitment Agency at the Recruiter Awards. This is definitely a career highlight of mine. 

Outside of work, I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family and exploring the Lake District with my dog!
