Youth Offending Team Officer

We are working with a client in the North London area who is looking to recruit an experienced Youth Justice Worker to join their multi-agency Youth Justice Service. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people by supporting them to reduce offending behaviours and achieve better outcomes.

Role Overview:
You will work as part of a multi-agency team supporting children and young people who are at risk of offending or who have entered the youth justice system. You will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, deliver interventions, and work closely with families, courts, and partner agencies to reduce reoffending and promote positive change.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people subject to Youth Justice interventions and court orders.
• Complete assessments, reports, and risk management plans, including Asset Plus assessments.
• Deliver targeted interventions to reduce offending behaviour and support rehabilitation.
• Represent the Youth Justice Service at court hearings and multi-agency meetings.
• Work collaboratively with families, social care, education, police, and other partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families within Youth Justice, Social Care, Youth Work, or a related setting.
• Strong assessment, report writing, and risk management skills.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and delivering effective interventions.
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices, child protection procedures, and relevant youth justice legislation.

Contract Length: Contract to end of March 2027 - View of an extension
Pay Rate: £22.08 PAYE
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, Hybrid working arrangements.
