Family support worker

We are currently recruiting for a Family Support Worker to support our Local Authority client in Manchester.

Contract Length: 3-6 months - with possible extension
Pay Rate: £17.91 per hour PAYE - Negotiable

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join Children and Young People's Services at our Local Authority client in Manchester. Working alongside qualified Social Workers, you will provide practical and emotional support to children, young people and their families who may be experiencing complex or challenging circumstances. You will play an important role in helping families reduce risk, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide practical, hands-on support and intervention within family homes and community settings
• Work intensively with families through outreach and home visits to reduce risk and strengthen family resilience
• Build positive and trusting relationships with families, including those who may be reluctant or difficult to engage

Key requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK
• A valid driving licence
• An Enhanced DBS
• A minimum of 5 years references/work history
