Capital Delivery Project Manager
Location: London
Rate: £500 - 550 per day
Contract: 6 - months
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an experienced Capital Delivery Project Manager on behalf of a local authority to lead the delivery of a complex, high-profile refurbishment and building safety programme across multiple occupied higher risk residential blocks.
This is a hands-on delivery role, focused on safe, compliant and resident-aware delivery. You will take ownership of programme control, contractor performance, risk management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring works are delivered to the required standards and in line with current building safety legislation.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day delivery from construction through to completion and handover
- Driving building safety and regulatory compliance across all project activities
- Managing programme, cost, quality, risk, issues and change control
- Overseeing contractor performance, site coordination and governance reporting
- Managing resident and stakeholder engagement, including handling concerns and access challenges in occupied homes
- Coordinating technical stakeholders (consultants, fire engineers, building control and other regulators)
About you:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale housing refurbishment, regeneration or building safety programmes
- Strong track record delivering works in occupied residential buildings
- Confident managing contractors, construction contracts and navigating performance issues
- Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, HRB compliance expectations, and broader H&S (including CDM)
- Strong communication skills with residents, members and senior stakeholders
