Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Council Tax Adviser for a local authority in North London.
In this role, you will administer Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy accounts, providing an accurate, efficient and customer-focused service.
Duties:
- Administer Council Tax, Business Rates and BID Levy accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Assess liability, discounts, exemptions and reliefs in line with legislation and council policies.
- Provide advice and support to customers and stakeholders, delivering excellent customer service.
- Manage recovery and enforcement processes, including refunds, account reviews and court-related work where required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience of working in a customer service, administrative or revenues environment.
- Experience of interpreting policies, procedures and legislation.
- Experience of managing accurate records and handling financial information.
- Experience of dealing with customers and resolving queries professionally.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
