About the Role


We are currently recruiting compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to work within supportive school environments, helping pupils with Special Educational Needs reach their full potential. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning experience, supporting pupils both in the classroom and through targeted one-to-one or small group interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs throughout the school day.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support in line with individual learning plans.
  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging classroom activities.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning by adapting support where appropriate.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Observe, monitor, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Support with personal care when required, following appropriate guidance and training.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

About You


We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference in education. Previous experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs is preferred, although applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.

Experience in education, childcare, care work, youth work, healthcare, coaching, mentoring, customer service, hospitality, or other people-focused roles would be advantageous.
