Cover Teacher

We are looking for a Cover Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring that students remain engaged, motivated and focused when their usual teacher is absent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or someone looking to develop their experience within a school environment.
Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using prepared lesson plans and resources.
• Maintain a positive, safe and purposeful learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Support students to make progress and achieve their potential.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Provide appropriate feedback on students' work and behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
• DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

QTS or relevant teaching experience is desirable, although we welcome applications from candidates with strong classroom experience who are passionate about education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
