We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both in and out of the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
- Working with individuals and small groups to provide additional support.
- Helping pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons.
- Supporting children with their social, emotional and communication needs.
- Assisting with classroom activities and preparing learning resources.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient and approachable.
- Passionate about working with children.
- Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, adaptable and willing to get involved.
- Committed to supporting children's education and wellbeing.
- DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
Previous experience working within a school or with children is desirable, but we are also happy to consider candidates with transferable experience from childcare, youth work, care or similar settings.
