Estates Surveyor
Location: Essex
Rate: £400 per day
Contract: 3 - 6 Months
Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a public sector organisation who are seeking an MRICS-qualified Estates Surveyor to support its Property Team in managing a mixed commercial estate.
You will lead on landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals, lease negotiations and new leases, acting as a key point of contact for tenants and working closely with legal and finance to progress lease events and ensure income is accurately recorded.
Responsibilities include
- Acting as the primary point of contact for tenants across a mixed commercial estate
- Leading landlord and tenant casework including rent reviews, renewals, negotiations and new leases
- Working with legal to progress lease documentation and complete transactions
- Liaising with finance to ensure rental income and charges are correctly reflected in financial systems
- Producing regular reporting on lease events and portfolio activity
- Supporting budget monitoring, income forecasting, and performance reporting
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards, and internal policies
About You
- MRICS qualified Chartered Surveyor
- Strong commercial landlord and tenant experience, including rent reviews and lease renewals
- Experience managing a mixed commercial portfolio
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with tenants, legal, finance, and senior colleagues
- Confident producing reports, forecasts, and budget monitoring updates
