Location: East of England
Rate: £314.75 per day
Contract: 3 Months ongoing

Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority to appoint a Housing Maintenance Surveyor within their housing maintenance team.

This role is focused on inspecting council-owned homes, identifying repair defects and specifying effective remedial works, ensuring delivery is safe, cost effective and completed to the required standard.

Responsibilities include
* Carry out property surveys and inspections to diagnose maintenance and repair defects
* Specify remedial works and manage delivery to time, quality and budget
* Survey void properties, prepare work specifications and oversee contractors on site through completion
* Complete reports, feasibility reviews and recommendations on property condition and related issues
* Support efficient resolution of repair enquiries, including desktop diagnosis where appropriate

About you
* Housing surveying qualification or equivalent relevant experience
* Proven experience surveying residential properties and diagnosing repairs
* Experience producing work specifications and managing contractors on site
* Ideally experience with void properties, damp and mould, and structural issues
* Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear reports and recommendations
