Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a local authority in South London.
In this role, you will assess homelessness applications, make legally sound housing decisions, and provide guidance to support effective homelessness prevention and relief.
Duties:
- Assess homelessness applications in line with legislation, guidance and Council policy.
- Make complex decisions on homelessness duties and private rented sector offers.
- Prepare clear decision letters, reports and legal documentation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on housing law and complex cases.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience conducting complex homelessness assessments and investigations.
- Experience applying Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
- Experience making legally compliant housing decisions and writing decision letters.
- Experience advising or supporting colleagues on housing law and complex cases.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
