Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness Prevention Officer for a local authority in West Yorkshire.
In this role, you will support individuals and families at risk of homelessness to secure and sustain suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Assess housing needs and develop Personalised Housing Plans.
- Provide advice and support to prevent and relieve homelessness.
- Manage a caseload and negotiate with landlords and other agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and work with partner services to achieve positive outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Experience managing a caseload and working to deadlines.
- Experience working with vulnerable people and partner agencies.
- Experience providing housing advice, advocacy and practical support.
What's on offer:
Salary: £19ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
