We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Mentor to join our team and provide tailored support to students who require additional help to reach their full potential.

You will play a key role in promoting confidence, independence, and engagement in learning, working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and families.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to making a meaningful difference in young people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with additional learning needs
  • Assist learners in developing academic, social, and emotional skills
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to staff
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and attendance
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students to promote wellbeing and confidence


Desirable experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting
  • Understanding of special educational needs (SEN)
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, psychology, or youth work (or willingness to work towards them)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
