Project Officer - Housing Improvement Plan
Location: West Sussex
Rate: £300 - £350 Per day
Working Pattern: Hybrid but mainly onsite
Contract: 3 - 6 months
Spencer Clarke Group are working with a public sector organisation to appoint a Project Officer to support the delivery of a Comprehensive Housing Improvement Plan and associated improvement activity.
This role will suit someone with strong programme support, governance and reporting experience, ideally within local government, housing or regulated services.
Responsibilities include
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the Housing Improvement Plan
- Maintaining programme plans, action trackers, milestones and delivery schedules
- Monitoring progress across workstreams, including risks, issues and dependencies
- Preparing reports, briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders and boards
- Maintaining programme documentation, governance records and decision logs
- Tracking actions from boards, programme meetings, audits, reviews and regulatory activity
- Supporting stakeholder engagement, including resident involvement where required
- Supporting self-assessments, gap analysis, evidence libraries and assurance documentation
About you
- Experience in project support, PMO or programme coordination
- Confident managing trackers, RAID logs, reporting packs and governance documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Public sector, housing, compliance or regulatory improvement exposure is highly desirable
