About the Role

Spencer Clarke Group is currently working with a range of welcoming schools across Preston who are looking for dedicated and experienced Qualified Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, both within the classroom and through targeted one-to-one or small group interventions. Working closely with teachers and other members of staff, you will help to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress where required.
• Support pupils with a range of additional learning, social and emotional needs.
• Help to create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils to remain focused and engaged.
• Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of different learners.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

What We're Looking For

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, ideally Level 2 or Level 3.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children and young people in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Confidence supporting pupils both independently and as part of a wider team.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Flexibility and reliability to support short-term and long-term placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
