Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Revenues Officer for a local authority in South London.
In this role, you will process and maintain Council Tax accounts, assess liability, discounts and exemptions, and resolve customer queries.
Duties:
- Process and update Council Tax accounts, including changes to liability and occupancy.
- Assess discounts, exemptions, disregards and reductions.
- Investigate and resolve Council Tax queries and correspondence.
- Process recovery-related amendments and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Recent Council Tax experience within a UK local authority.
- Experience using NEC Revenues (Northgate) or similar systems.
- Experience processing liability, discounts and exemptions.
- Experience managing high-volume caseloads accurately and to deadlines.
What's on offer:
Salary: £29ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 12 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
