School Catering Assistant - Pensby& Heswall, Wirral

Location: Pensby, Wirral
Hours: 9:30am - 1:30pm
Pay: £17.50 - £18.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP, subject to Enhanced DBS clearance

We are currently looking for a School Catering Assistant to join a friendly school kitchen in Pensby, Wirral.

The Role

You will support the catering team with the smooth day-to-day running of the school kitchen, helping to prepare and serve meals and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

Duties include:

• Assisting with food preparation and serving
• Supporting the kitchen team during lunchtime service
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment
• Washing up and ensuring work areas are kept tidy
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

Requirements:

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is preferred
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a school environment
• An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
