School Catering Assistant

Location: Liverpool
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay: £17.50-£18.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Catering Assistant to join a school in the Liverpool area on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in providing a high standard of food service.

The Role

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
• Supporting the catering team with the smooth running of the school kitchen
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Following food safety, health & safety and allergen procedures
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage
• Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous catering experience - essential
• Experience working in a school, nursery, care home or similar environment is desirable
• A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
• Knowledge of food allergens and safe food handling
• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a professional approach

  All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
