Temporary School Cook - West Kirby

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
Pay Rate: £18.00-£19.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Cook to join a school in West Kirby on a temporary basis, with an ASAP start.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for pupils and staff, while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals
• Catering for pupils and staff
• Following menus, recipes and dietary requirements
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Managing food preparation and kitchen stock
• Working in line with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school kitchen

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Cook, ideally within a school, nursery or similar setting
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid DBS on the Update Service is essential
• Reliable, organised and professional
• Ability to start ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
