We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of pupils with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning programmes and interventions.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Encourage engagement, participation, and independence within the classroom.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Previous SEND experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, health and social care, or SEND support are desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
