SEND Assessment Team Manager
North East London | £400 per day | Hybrid Working
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Assessment Team Manager to join a Local Authority in Northeast London.
Assignment Details
💰 £400 per day
📍 North East London
🏢 2 days per week in the office
📅 Interim contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong operational leadership and oversight of the SEND Assessment Team.
- Manage assessment and workloads across the team.
- Track cases against statutory deadlines and improve overall timeliness.
- Identify and unblock delays within the assessment process.
- Monitor team performance and ensure cases are progressing effectively.
- Provide effective line management, support and direction to SEND Officers.
- Support wider service improvement across the statutory assessment process.
About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- A minimum of 1 year's proven leadership experience within a Local Authority SEND service.
- Strong knowledge of the statutory EHC needs assessment process.
- Experience managing SEND Assessment / Case Officer teams.
- A track record of improving performance and statutory timeliness.
- Strong operational management and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to quickly identify issues, unblock cases and provide clear direction to teams.
