Senior Commercial Surveyor
Location: London
Rate: £490 Per day
Working Pattern: 1 day required in the office (Hybrid)
Contract: 3 - 6 months
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an interim Senior Commercial Surveyor to support a large public sector estates and property function. This is a senior-level role within a capital projects and property environment, supporting portfolio performance, strategy and delivery across a varied estate.
You will lead on asset management initiatives and commercial property transactions and provide high-quality advice to senior stakeholders to support best value, regeneration and wider organisational objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Portfolio and asset management across a mixed commercial estate to maximise value and returns
- Delivering commercial arrangements including leases, acquisitions and disposals
- Leading on lease events including rent reviews, renewals, re-gears and related negotiations
- Acting as an intelligent client to managing agents and external professional advisers
- Identifying value-add opportunities and driving asset management initiatives
- Supporting property strategy development, business cases and approval routes
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial management for portfolio activity
About you:
- Strong commercial property and estates management background, ideally within local government or a comparable complex organisation
- Solid knowledge of commercial leases and negotiation, plus report writing and analysis
- Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
- Confident stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
- Degree qualified in a property-related discipline, or equivalent experience
- RICS membership MRICS or FRICS
