Spencer Clarke Group are working with a local authority in London to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer into a housing maintenance and compliance function.

This role focuses on delivering electrical engineering works across specialist contracts, including refurbishment and replacement programmes, and providing technical support to contract management teams to ensure safe, compliant and best value delivery.

Responsibilities include

• Designing, procuring and supervising electrical works, including term contracts and major/minor projects
• Carrying out pre, post and interim inspections to ensure quality, specification compliance and statutory requirements
• Producing and checking contract and regulatory documentation
• Providing electrical technical advice to senior contract management colleagues
• Day-to-day management of specialist electrical contracts with a strong customer focus
• Preparing design specifications and work schemes, coordinating projects and monitoring progress
• Supporting investment programme delivery through internal approval and gateway processes
• Ensuring monitoring systems and records are in place to demonstrate contractor performance and statutory compliance
• Supporting budget, programme reporting and invoice/valuation checks

About you

• Strong electrical engineering background within building services, maintenance, compliance, or capital works
• Proven contractor and contract management experience, ideally including term contracts
• Confident producing specifications, reports and technical advice for senior stakeholders
• Comfortable liaising with tenants/leaseholders and attending site as required
