Targeted Services Officer

We are currently working with a valued client in the Liverpool area who is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Youth Justice Worker / Young People's Support Practitioner to join their Targeted Services team.
This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to support children, young people, and their families, helping to reduce offending behaviour, improve life opportunities, and promote positive outcomes across local communities.

You will work directly with young people who may be at risk of offending, vulnerable to exploitation, or experiencing a range of social and personal challenges. Through effective engagement, assessment, and intervention, you will play a key role in supporting young people to make positive choices and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support a caseload of young people and their families.
• Deliver targeted one-to-one and group interventions.
• Complete assessments and develop tailored support plans.
• Work closely with partner agencies, schools, and community organisations.
• Advocate for young people and promote their voice in decision-making.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure safeguarding compliance.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with young people and their families.
• Experience delivering individual and group-based programmes or interventions.
• Previous case management experience.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage vulnerable or challenging young people.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £19.40PAYE
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, onsite.
