Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer for a local authority in East London.
In this role, you will prevent homelessness wherever possible by securing and managing temporary accommodation placements.
Duties:
- Negotiate with households facing eviction to help prevent homelessness and reduce the need for temporary accommodation.
- Arrange and manage temporary accommodation placements and transfers, ensuring they are suitable and cost-effective.
- Liaise with residents, landlords, accommodation providers and partner agencies to secure appropriate housing solutions.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all placements comply with relevant policies, procedures and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience arranging or managing temporary accommodation placements, homelessness services or housing options cases.
- Experience supporting vulnerable households while managing a busy caseload and meeting service deadlines.
- Experience liaising and negotiating with landlords, accommodation providers and partner agencies to secure suitable housing solutions.
- Experience using housing management systems and databases to maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance.
What's on offer:
Salary: £170+ per day
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 4-6months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
