Spencer Clarke Group are currently recruiting for Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Leyland and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and are looking to gain valuable experience within a primary school setting. There are genuine temp-to-perm opportunities available for the right candidates.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with their learning, development and day-to-day needs.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils within the classroom
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Assisting with learning activities
• Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development
• Promoting positive behaviour
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is desirable
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Patient, caring and supportive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one

No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
