Youth Offending Service Officer
£17.99 p/h PAYE
West Midlands Trust

We are seeking an experienced YOS Officer to join our Local Authority Trust in the West Midlands. You will be working within the Youth Justice Team, supporting young people who have offended or are at risk of further offending. This is a hands on casework role and will require additional responsibility of supporting other staff and assisting management.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant professional experience in Youth Justice / Youth Offending Services, working directly with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, safeguarding, offending behaviour and reducing reoffending
- Good understanding of relevant Youth Justice legislation, policies and statutory requirements
Duties include:
- Manage complex cases involving young people and their families
- Work directly with young people to reduce reoffending and prevent further offending
- Deal with high-profile/high-risk cases when required
- Carry out assessments, interventions and reviews
