Allocations and Verifications Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Allocations and Verifications Officer for a local authority in Southwest London.

In this role, you will manage housing allocations and verification processes, ensuring residents receive a fair, efficient, and customer-focused rehousing service.

*Duties: *

• Process housing applications, allocations, and verification checks in line with legislation and Council policies.
• Assess applicant needs, shortlist properties, and make suitable housing offers through allocation schemes.
• Carry out investigations, including home visits where required, to verify eligibility and housing circumstances.
• Work with housing partners and internal teams to support effective management of social housing stock.

*Qualifications and Experience: *

• Experience in housing allocations, verification, or a related social housing role.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, allocation schemes, and eligibility assessments.
• Experience managing caseloads and making evidence-based housing decisions.
• Strong customer service, communication, and partnership working skills.

What's on offer:

Salary: £30ph+

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
