Family Support Worker - Yorkshire Local Authority
£18.35 per hour PAYE
3-6 month contract - View to be extended
Our Local Authority client in Yorkshire is looking for a Family Support Worker to join the Child Protection and Child in Need Team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping families overcome challenges, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes. You will work directly with families in their homes, communities and Family Centres, providing targeted support based on their individual needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Must have a UK driving licence
- Confident working directly with families in a range of settings, including homes and community environments
- Experienced in providing family support, early help, parenting support or working with children, young people and families
Duties include:
- Engage with and support targeted families through outreach, home visits and planned family support interventions
- Provide support to families where needs are more complex, including contributing to Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection Plans (CPP) when required
- Undertake assessments and develop clear, achievable plans with families, identifying appropriate outcomes, targets and timescales
