We are currently recruiting for a Young Peoples Practitioner support our Local Authority client in the South East.
Contract Length: 3-6 months
Pay Rate: £19.92 per hour PAYE
Hybrid working - 3 days onsite
We are working with a Local Authority in the South East for a Young Peoples Practitioner to join their supportive Missing Peoples Team. This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with young people, families, police, social care and partner agencies to understand the reasons behind missing episodes, reduce risk and ensure young people receive the right support.
Key responsibilities:
- Support children who are regularly missing, including attending strategy meetings and professional discussions.
- Complete Return Home Interviews to understand risks, triggers and support needs.
- Support police and partner agencies when children go missing
Key requirements:
- Must be able to drive and hold a UK licence
- Ability to work effectively with police, social care and partner agencies
- Experience of working with children and young people
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
