Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homeless Prevention Officer for a local authority in Basingstoke.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of customers at risk of homelessness, delivering person-centred housing advice, assessments, and prevention solutions.
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of homelessness prevention cases.
- Assess housing needs and provide tailored support.
- Make statutory homelessness decisions under legislation.
- Liaise with partners to prevent homelessness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience managing homelessness or housing caseloads.
- Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and HRA 2017.
- Experience completing assessments and statutory decisions.
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers with complex needs.
What's on offer:
Salary: £25ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
