Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homeless Prevention Officer for a local authority in Hampshire.
In this role, you will lead on homelessness prevention, manage complex cases and work collaboratively with partners to support vulnerable individuals and families in securing safe, sustainable accommodation.
Duties:
- Manage a complex caseload, undertaking housing options and support needs assessments to prevent and relieve homelessness.
- Make statutory homelessness decisions in accordance with relevant housing legislation.
- Develop tailored, person-centred and trauma-informed support plans for individuals and families.
- Work with internal and external partners to secure suitable accommodation and promote social inclusion.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience managing complex homelessness cases and delivering effective prevention solutions.
- Experience undertaking housing options assessments and making statutory homelessness decisions.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and families with multiple and complex needs.
- Experience collaborating with partner agencies and accommodation providers to secure housing outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £25ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
