Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness Prevention & Relief Officer for a local authority in North London.
In this role, you will provide expert, trauma-informed housing advice and support to prevent and relieve homelessness, helping Islington residents find safe, sustainable housing solutions.
Duties:
- Conduct housing assessments and homelessness prevention enquiries.
- Assess eligibility for temporary accommodation and housing support.
- Provide housing advice, mediation and access to private rented options.
- Make referrals and work with partner agencies to support vulnerable residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience of delivering homelessness prevention and housing advice.
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals and families with complex needs.
- Experience applying housing and homelessness legislation to casework.
- Experience working with partner agencies to achieve positive housing outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
