Housing Choices Case Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Choices Case Officer for a local authority in Northwest Leicestershire.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of homelessness cases, providing expert housing advice and support to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable customers find sustainable housing solutions.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of homelessness cases in line with current legislation.

• Provide comprehensive housing advice and support to vulnerable customers.

• Undertake homelessness assessments, investigations and make statutory decisions.

• Work with customers and partner agencies to prevent homelessness and secure suitable housing solutions.

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience managing a homelessness caseload under current legislation.

• Experience providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support.

• Experience working with vulnerable customers and partner agencies.

• Experience applying the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 in practice.

What's on offer:

Salary: £21ph+ may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
