Income and Recovery Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Income and Recovery Officer for a local authority in Staffordshire.

In this role, you will support the Council's Revenues team by managing council tax enquiries, assisting with income recovery processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing high-quality advice and support to customers.

Duties:

• Manage Council Tax enquiries, updates, discounts, and exemptions.
• Support income recovery and debt collection activities.
• Provide advice and assistance to customers by phone, email, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in Council Tax administration or Revenues services.
• Background in debt recovery or income collection.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and revenue systems (MRI desirable).

What's on offer:

Salary: £18ph+

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
