Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Needs Officer for a local authority in Berkshire.
In this role, you will provide expert housing and homelessness advice, assess applications, develop personalised housing plans and work proactively with customers and partners to prevent and relieve homelessness.
Duties:
- Assess homelessness applications and determine statutory housing duties.
- Provide housing advice and develop and review Personalised Housing Plans.
- Manage homelessness prevention, relief and complex casework.
- Liaise with customers, partner agencies and internal services to secure suitable housing solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience handling homelessness applications and housing assessments.
- Experience providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support.
- Experience managing complex caseloads and working to statutory deadlines.
- Experience working with vulnerable customers and external partner agencies.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 4-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
