Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Advisor for a local authority in Northamptonshire.
In this role, you will assess homelessness cases, provide housing advice and take proactive action to prevent homelessness and secure positive outcomes for vulnerable customers.
Duties:
- Conduct initial homelessness assessments and determine eligibility, homelessness and priority need.
- Provide housing advice and develop Personal Housing Plans to prevent homelessness.
- Manage a caseload, making decisions in line with legislation, guidance and Council policies.
- Liaise with landlords, agencies and partner services to secure suitable housing solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience conducting homelessness assessments and housing options advice.
- Experience managing a varied and complex housing caseload.
- Experience working within a local authority, housing association or similar setting.
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers and working with landlords and partner agencies.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
