Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Register Officer for a local authority in Northeast London.
In this role, you will assess and manage Housing Register applications, allocate suitable accommodation, and provide housing advice to vulnerable residents.
Duties:
- Assess Housing Register applications, eligibility, priority and effective dates.
- Allocate properties through shortlisting, direct matching and choice-based lettings.
- Provide housing options advice and support homelessness prevention and temporary accommodation placements.
- Verify applicants' circumstances and maintain accurate records in line with legislation and Council policy.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience assessing Housing Register applications.
- Strong knowledge of Part VI housing legislation.
- Experience with housing allocations and direct matching.
- Experience providing housing options and homelessness advice.
What's on offer:
Salary: £25ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
