Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Inquiries and Decisions Officers for a local authority in North London.
In this role, you will assess homelessness applications, make statutory decisions, prevent homelessness and provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents.
Duties:
- Assess homelessness applications and conduct statutory enquiries.
- Make homelessness and main duty decisions in line with legislation.
- Manage complex cases and support homelessness prevention.
- Liaise with residents, safeguarding teams and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience assessing homelessness applications and making statutory decisions.
- Experience applying the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and housing legislation.
- Experience managing complex cases involving vulnerable individuals and families.
- Experience working with social care, safeguarding and external partner agencies.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
