Learning Intervention Assistant- SEN

We are looking for a Learning Intervention Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist SEN setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of pupils with additional needs.

The Role
As a Learning Intervention Assistant, you will provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver engaging interventions that are tailored to each pupil's individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Delivering targeted literacy, numeracy and learning interventions.
• Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.
• Adapting learning activities and resources to suit individual needs.
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Working with pupils who may have autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or other additional needs.
• Encouraging positive engagement and celebrating pupil progress.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting pupils with their social and emotional development where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and engagement.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

• DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

Previous experience within a specialist SEN school, mainstream school, SEND provision, tutoring or learning support environment would be advantageous. Experience supporting pupils with autism, communication needs or learning difficulties would also be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
